Patrick Masson
Patrick’s formal profile can be found here.
Patrick Masson is from the French speaking region of Belgium, but we have made him an honorary Wisconsinite as well. Patrick’s 17 years as a professor at UW Madison have still not quenched his thirst for information. He is insatiably curious about science and finds interest in almost all fields of inquiry.
In addition to being a talented scientist, Patrick is also a thoughtful and kind person. He is very respectful of his students and always sees the best in people. It is an inspiring life-outlook and challenges us to live up to his positive impressions of us.
In 2008 Patrick was elected into Belgium’s Royal Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts, an organization of scientists started in 1772.
Patrick and his family live in New Glarus.
